1964 - 1967 Canon
7s is the last and best Canon Rangefinder camera manufactured. It
competed with the Leica M4. It has parallax corrected framelines for
35, 50, 80, 100 and 135mm lens. The built-in CDS meter has a high and
low range which can be selected by the dial on the front of the camera.
This example has the fast f1.2 / 50mm lens which is a M39 Leica thread
mount but a super fast F.095 / 50mm lens was offered in a unique
external bayonet mount. Only one of two cameras with both a screw and
bayonet mount in one (the Canon 7 being the other). A hard to find
camera.
