1928 Leica I (A)  is the first mass produced 35mm camera.  This 4 digit serial number example has the more common f 3.5 / 50mm Elmar in a non interchangeable mount. The 'hockey stick' lens lock is a distinguishing characteristic of the Model I (A).  Also characteristic of the early models is the 'mushroom' shutter release button.
