1951 Leica IIIf BD (Black Dial)
is similar to the IIIc but with flash synch added under the
shutter speed dial. Black dial versions have black engraving for the
flash synch numbers. All BD models have the old shutter speeds of 1/20,
1/30, and 1/60. A film type reminder is incorporated into the winding
knob. The flash socket is adjacent to the viewfinder/rangefinder window
on the back. All IIIf's have a top shutter speed of 1/1000 and slow
speeds on the front dial. This particular camera was my first Leica and
started this whole madness. A Summitar f2 / 50mm lens is attached.
