1956 Leica IIIg is the last of the III series Leica screwmount models made. The Leica M3 was introduced in 1954 and production of the IIIg stopped in 1960.  The IIIg is the only screwmount model with automatic  parallax correcting frame finders for 50 and 90mm lenses. The fourth small square window in front is for illumination of the bright line finders. The top plate is taller than the IIIf to accomodate the finder. Flash synch is automatic with a black arrow at 1/60th for electronic flash and a red arrow at 1/30 for bulb. A film reminder dial is attached to the back of the camera and is similar to the M3. This example has the collapsible Summicron f2 / 50mm lens attached
