A not for export, Japanese market only camera, the S4 was a made for entry level, cost conscious Japanese photographers. The S4 is a S3 without self timer, 35mm frame line (just 50 and 105mm without parallax correcting). The film counter isn’t automatic but must be sat manually. The motor drive lug is also missing.  Even though it shares the same body and shutter as the S3 and SP, its features are more like the earlier S2. Only 5900 examples were made making it one of the more difficult models to collect.
