1965 Nikkorex
Auto 35 has a pentaprism finder rather than a porro-mirror
finder which had been used since the Nikkorex 35. The finder eyepiece
in now centered, and the mirror is of the instant return type. The
camera has auto exposure with shutter priority, the first automatic
camera built by Nikon. The new design has rounded corners, advance
lever hidden underneath the top plate and the shutter release in front
of the body, the only Nikon to have the release in this position. The
lens is an f2 / 48mm fixed Nikkor. Screw in auxiliary
lenses were sold, resulting in a 35/4 wide angle and a 85/4 telephoto.
