1940-45 Perfex Fifty-Five was built
by the Candid Camera Corp. of America of Chicago, Illinois. The
Perfex Fifty-Five has an all aluminum body with a built in extinction
exposure meter, focal plane shutter from 1 second to 1/1250th of a
second plus B. An American attempt to compete with the Leica,
none to successfully. The lens on this example is an f2.8 50mm
Wollensak Velostigmat.
