Photavit-werk began production of Bolta rollfilm cameras in 1936 in
Nurnberg, Germany as Bolta-werk. Name changed to Photavit-werk in early
1937 with the switch to 35mm cameras. Production ceased for the
duration of the war and production ended completely in 1958.
